Youngtimers

Youngtimer is a relatively new term in the automotive industry, which describes the cars that are more than 25 years old. These cars are not quite old enough to be called vintage cars, but they are seen by many as nostalgic cars. Many would think of the youngtimer cars as a classic 80’s car or 90’s car, and for many people, it brings back memories from their youth.

In our experience, the interest for these cars is very different, from one generation to another. We frequently have encounters with young people who are very passionate about these youngtimer cars, and they really see these cars as classics. On the other hand, we also have a lot of encounters with people from the older generation, and since they grew up with these cars everywhere on the streets, they don’t find the cars very special. They usually don’t see the youngtimer cars as classics, but they do however feel nostalgic about these cars, as it reminds them of the good old times.

These youngtimer cars are often recognizable by their square appearance and hard edges, and this is the picture most people have in their mind when thinking of cars from the 1980’s and 1990’s. Older cars from before the 1980’s often have a more soft appearance and rounded edges. And since then, after the 1990’s, most car makes have gone away from these square appearances and started making cars with a more aerodynamic look. This makes the youngtimer cars very special in their appearance, and very recognizable by most people.
Of course, we also have windscreens in stock for these cars. Examples of windscreens we have in stock are windscreens for Ford Taunus, Toyota Starlet and many more.
